BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- China and El Salvador signed a joint communique in Beijing Tuesday on the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The communique was signed by Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Salvadorean Foreign Minister Carlos Castaneda.
